The Forgotten Things

Let’s remember forgotten things,

Like that star that never shines,
Or the island where no one lives,
The house where dust settles on memories,
The room locked away for years,
The wall full of travel posters — yet no one is there.

Is it because the person who lived there died?
Or did he leave to explore the world he imagined on that wall?

Maybe the dream of traveling the world simply vanished,
Just like that island disappeared from the map.

Was that place ever more than a fleeting mirage?
Or was it just your dream —
A dream you stopped chasing, or did it fade without you knowing?
